I am on the autism spectrum, and I also have ADHD. Can I enroll in SUCCEEDS?

The SUCCEEDS model has proven ineffective for students with autism.  When students have a diagnosis of autism, or related social communication needs, we refer students to SIGNA.  For more information, visit SIGNA at: https://signa.umd.edu/

Does SUCCEEDS offer evaluations to individuals outside of the program?

Currently, SUCCEEDS provides evaluations and documentation as a component of program participation only. Please see this list of local providers that may be able to offer evaluation support.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, no insurance of any kind (i.e., private, Medicaid, Medicare) is accepted at this time. Upon request, we are able to provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance provider for partial reimbursement. SUCCEEDS cannot guarantee reimbursement and will not submit materials on your behalf.  Please inquire with your insurance provider regarding your benefits.

Do you provide prescription medication for ADHD?

We do not prescribe medications for ADHD. We can work with students to provide documentation to help facilitate the receipt of prescription medications from a licensed psychiatrist or primary care provider, if warranted.

Can you provide me with academic accommodations for my classes?

As part of the assessment procedure, we gather all the necessary information to provide students with documentation to receive academic accommodations, if warranted, with the Office of Academic and Disability Support Services (ADS).
