About Dr. Wagner

Guided by developmental psychopathology and biopsychosocial frameworks, Dr. Wagner's research investigates the processes through which early risk and multiple factors within the family system influence social, emotional, and behavioral development. He is particularly interested in understanding how psychobiological and environmental factors interactively promote psychosocial adaptation or contribute to the emergence of psychopathology in children, and how self-regulatory processes serve to augment or constrain these associations. One line of ongoing research involves the study of the development of externalizing problems including early-onset conduct problems and callous-unemotional behaviors.
