Heather’s research interests lie in the development and dissemination of early intervention programs for young children with internalizing and externalizing disorders. She is particularly interested in how parenting and parental psychopathology influence the life courses of these at-risk children and how to best intervene at this level to promote the healthy development of the entire family. Additionally, she is interested in understanding individual difference factors that contribute to parenting, including parental executive functioning and emotion regulation. Heather is currently on internship at Westchester Jewish Community Services in Westchester, New York, working with a wide range of clinical populations. She is planning on planting her (and her family's) roots in New York.
